Hector Gifford is a London-born filmmaker who was raised in Japan and is currently based in London, where he works as a freelance writer, director, and producer. His work spans a wide range of fiction and documentary projects, reflecting a versatile and internationally informed storytelling approach. Since graduating from Met Film School in November 2015, he has spent over six years working across the film industry, developing his voice through diverse formats and collaborations. His debut feature film, Sunflower Thieves, is currently screening at several international festivals, marking an important milestone in his career. Gifford is now in pre-production on his second feature film, which is set to be shot in Switzerland, continuing his focus on cross-cultural narratives and visually distinctive storytelling.
