Phoebe Ammon wuchs in der sogenannten „Holsteinischen Schweiz“ nahe der Ostseeküste in Norddeutschland auf. 2019 schloss sie ihr Filmstudium an der Merz Akademie in Stuttgart ab. Für ihre Kurzfilme und Drehbücher wurde sie mehrfach als Regisseurin und Autorin ausgezeichnet, zuletzt 2024 beim Blaue Blume Award sowie dem Drehbuchpreis Schleswig-Holstein. Derzeit arbeitet sie an einem neuen Kurzfilm und der Entwicklung ihres ersten Langfilms, die sich beide mit Themen wie Trauma, Verlust oder psychischen Erkrankungen befassen.
Phoebe Ammon grew up in the so-called “Holstein Switzerland,” a region near the Baltic Sea in northern Germany. She studied film at the Merz Akademie in Stuttgart, graduating in 2019. Since then she has received several awards for her short films and screenplays, including the 2024 Blaue Blume Award and the Schleswig-Holstein Screenplay Award. She is currently working on a new short film and developing her first feature film, both of which deal with themes such as trauma, loss, or mental health issues.
