Sara Stijovi? (Podgorica, 1997) is a senior in college studying Film and TV directing at Faculty of Dramatic Arts Cetinje, with a GPA 10.00. Now, she is specializing in Documentary film. For being the Best student at FDU Cetinje, she has been awarded by both the City of Cetinje and the University of Montenegro. During three years of studies, she had directed several short fiction and documentary films. Her film “Bars, walls” has won an award for the Best documentary film at the 17th Hyperfest film festival (Bucharest, Romania). Besides that, it was in official selection in: Montenegro/ Herceg Novi film festival, MicroFAF, Krajina FF, DUFF – Dubrovnik film festival (Dubrovnik, Croatia), Sombor FF, Document Vranje 2018, First Frame Sarajevo, Motovun FF, Jahorina film festival, etc. She is holding an Al Jazeera Ambassador certificate from a Investigation documentary training lead by Oscar nominees and Emmy winners, Giovanni Ulleri and Ekrem Rrahmani, that took place during the first Al Jazeera Balkans Documentary film festival 2018 in Sarajevo, BiH. In April of 2019 she took part in Talent Campus of the 37th Fajr International film festival in Tehran, Iran. In June and May she took part in Looking China Film Youth Project in Harbin, China where she has created and produced short documentary film “Sincerely yours”. Also, in June of 2019, she has been selected for an Artist residency in the city of Campobasso, region Molise, Italy where she independently created short documentary film “Italian treasure”. Now, she is developing a feature documentary film with the work title Gina, her first feature film. During the Balkan Film Market that took place in Tirana, Albania, she has pitched the Djina project, and won an award for BEST PITCH for Documentary film.
