Darina Manapova ist eine Filmemacherin aus Kasachstan. Sie hat mehrere unabhängige Kurzfilme produziert und inszeniert, darunter „Maulen“ (2019), der beim 24. Internationalen Filmfestival in Busan Premiere feierte. Darina hat an verschiedenen internationalen Workshops teilgenommen, wie dem Talent Campus am 37. Fajr International Film Festival, der Basel Filmmaker Residency, dem Talent Camp am 46. Schweizer Jugendfilmfestival, dem KAFA KinoLab 2022, der Busan Asian Film Academy x CHANEL am 27. Busan International Film Festival und dem ScriptLab CA 2024. Zu ihren Mentoren zählen bekannte Persönlichkeiten wie Rithy Panh, Tan Chui Mui und Ruth Atkinson. Darina hat an mehreren TV-Serien für kasachische Sender und an der WEB-Serie „Escort: A New Call“ für die beliebte zentralasiatische Medienplattform ‚Salem Entertainment‘ mitgewirkt. Derzeit setzt Darina ihre Ausbildung mit einem zweiten Masterstudium in Europa fort, das sie im Rahmen des Programms „KinoEyes - The European Film Masters“ in drei verschiedenen Ländern absolviert.
Darina Manapova is a film director from Kazakhstan. She has produced and directed several independent short films, including “Maulen”(2019), which premiered at the 24th Busan International Film Festival. Darina is currently continuing her education by pursuing a second masters in Europe through the “KinoEyes - The European Film Masters” programme in three different countries.
